Hamtech, Inc. was founded in April of 1996 by Dave Hamelund. Dave's career started in engineering, where he became the engineering manager at a local manufacturing facility. Dave left that position to take over a small machining business, Big Rapids Machine & Assembly, Inc. There, his father Frank (Les), worked along side him for 15 years sharing his machining expertise. Once their work had outgrown the building, Dave had a 10,000 square foot facility built in the Big Rapids Industrial park. At that time, Dave created Hamtech Inc.  

Since then, Hamtech has grown to support customers in many different manufacturing industries including: construction, furniture manufacturers, oil and gas, stamping houses, and machine builders.
